Here’s another GREAT idea to have some fun with your little one! You’re recycling AND keeping your little one busy even though they have been cooped up all winter! Win-win!
Laundry Basket Shopping
Save some boxes and containers from your pantry after they are empty. Take the empty boxes of crackers, cereal, raisins, etc., and put them all over the room. Put them on the couches, tables and on the lower shelves of bookcases. Then let your toddler push an empty laundry basket around the room and do some shopping! For the younger toddlers, the laundry basket will help him/her balance. For an older toddler, talk about the different kinds of food and the pictures on the boxes. Then as he/she wants to check out, count the number of boxes together!
